Romeo and Juliet Video
This is a video that I found on youtube when I searched "star-crossed lovers." Its a gimmick on Romeo and Juliet with various clips from Highschool Musical. It basically relates to the whole story line. There are two families, the son and daughter of the families meet at a graduation party. With no idea who the other is, they fall in love that night. Pretty cheesy.

Photo

This photo relates to the balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet. These are two lovers who are kissing on a balcony just like in Act II Scene two. The only way this doesnt relate is the fact that they are already married. If these people were not wearing a tuxido and dress, this is how I would picture the balcony scene. I found this picture on www.flickr.com.

Romeo and Juliet: Act Two
The situation that I found most interesting in Act Two, was when Romeo was in the Capulet's yard and then Juliet came out on the balcony talking to herself. Romeo went looking for Juliet after the party. He sees her walk out on the balcony. She starts talking to herself about how she wishes Romeo could be someone else besides a Capulet so they could be together. Romeo startes talking to her and she gets frightend. They then start talking about how they can be together and then the conversation rises to the topic of marriage. They decide their going to marry the next day. If I was Romeo, I would not jump to marraige so quickly, esspecially fully knowing to consequences he would have from his family.
I think this event will greatly impact the story. If they do end up getting married, it could cause an all out war between the Capulets and Montagues. I also think Romeo and Juliet will both get punished by their families. I think that my reaction to the situation would not have been as good as Romeo's. If I saw a girl I loved walk out onto a balcony and start to talk to herself, I would definetly be weirded out, not wishing she would talk more so I could hear her voice. I have never been in any type of situation even close to this.

Characters In Romeo and Juliet
The character in Romeo and Juliet that really stands out to me is Tybolt. He seems to be a really angry person and loves to fight. After Tybolt says he hates the word peace, it started to seem pretty obvious what kind of person he is. In act one, when Romeo arrived at the Caputlet party, Tybolt said that he wanted to kill him and it would not be a sin to do so. Then he said Romeo is mocking the Capulet family by being there. This shows that Tybolt makes up excuses to start unnessesary trouble. Tybolt seems like he would be very tall, short hair, peirced lip, and if it was modern times, a stereotypical redneck.
I think that if I met Tybolt in my everday life, I wouldnt be too fond of him. He seems like he would be a jerk and always starting usless trouble. I do know someone very similar to Tybolt. He thinks that fighting is funny and is always jerk. Whenever he encounters someone he doesn't like, he tries to be funny by pushing them into walls or triping them. When aggravated, he does threaten to hurt people, but not to the extent that Tybolt goes to.
