I think that, by far, the worst part of the book was when the animals were slain after they admitted to the crimes associated with Snowball. The animals simply told Napoloean that they were working with Snowball and the dogs murdered them right on the spot. I really find this disturbing because the animals knew that it wasn't true, but in order to suit Napoleon and his rediculous assumptions of Snowballs crimes, they admitted to the crimes. Also, I found it disturbing when the chickens were slain because there was a rumor going around the farm about how they wanted to poison Napoleon's food.
I think that Napoleon should have cut the rations in half or made the animals do extra work, but to just rip their throtes out on the spot! Well that is just cruel. I really don't like the way that Napoleon treats the other animals. He treats himself like a king, while the other animals suffer from overwork and little rations. Also, in my opinion, I think that Napoleon should also be punished. Just for his pleasure, he slightly changed the commandments to suit his liking. But then the all the animals are just too gullible and think that they just forgot the "last two words" of the commandment.

yeah, you wrote the same as I did. I agree with you totally about just giving the animals a break and not slaying them. But no, Napolean sends the dogs to kill them instantly. I also think this will affect Napolean in the future.
I didn't think of this part. But I also agree. This is a very distrubing part in the book. Napoleon is a cruel leader.
